Not fast, but good! May lose the wireless settings with power outages - otherwise I would give it a 5 star rating!

Printer was recommended to me by a friend who knows about computers. He uses many printers and says the pixma series is the best on the market for the price. It is true so far. No need to spend more. The printer is really good, easy to setup. Wish the paper loading tray was larger and less flimsy but not reason to not buy it.

Great price, fast ship. The printer works wonderfully. The only megative is the speed of warmup; it takes at least 30 seconds to warm up - it seems longer. The print quality is amazing. Nice menu features on the device. I like the wifi feature for my iPhone.

Overall I'm very pleased with this all-in-one unit. My particular use is for printing the occasional document, a lot of scanning receipts to PDFs, and printing digital photos. I don't have particularly demanding needs 24/7 as this unit's "office" moniker implies, but I wanted something reliable with an ADF tray for scanning many sheets of paper at once. Coming from the tediousness of a flat-bed, I'll never go back.
No problems with installation. Just stuck the disc in, installed, and everything printed/scanned smoothly over a wired network to the Windows 7 PCs in the house. The Canon software is very good for scanning, though I found the settings are a bit vague. When in doubt - read the manual. It's all in there, just not as intuitive as it could be. In particular, I love the "scan everything and sort it out later" style. Once all scans are in the temporary gallery, I pick and choose what I want to save and where. Even add multiple pages to one PDF after the fact. And I can do this from any network computer with the software installed, and it emulates the driver needed for my banking site to auto-scan checks. You can also copy/scan from the console with limited configurable settings.
Document and photo quality is decent for most people's use. I have not used the fax - too old-school for me and I don't have a land-line.
Cons:
* Scanning is average, but it's a bit slow in printing. Nothing horrible, but it is not as fast as others I've seen.
* I get an occasional page that scans through the ADF at an odd angle or jams up. Make sure everything is aligned when you put it in. The outbox on the ADF also tends to push pages out and on to the floor. No biggie.
* It's bigger and heavier than most consumer all-in-ones, so make sure you have desk/table space.
* Changing the ink cartridges is a bit clumsy. You have to prop open the upper half of the unit and slide your fingers in toward the narrow opening to the back - it doesn't open all the way. Could have designed that a bit better.
