National Geographic Magazine April 19, 2010 Georgene (Portland, OR United States) I usually find a lot of articles on archeology in National Geographic, but hardly any in the first 3 issues that I have so far received.
One issue, that I actually expected to be boring was actually very interesting. That was the issue on WATER. It covered everything from how much water it takes to raise a pound of beef to water levels in various aquafiers around the world to how the rainfall has changed in different areas of the world & the resulting change in climate, plus a whole lot more of information that involves all of us living here on Planet Earth.
So, while I may not be getting ALL the archeology articles I seem to crave, I've found many other types of articles of great interest.
It's always great to learn new things, now isn't it?
I love National Geographic March 28, 2010 Sandra Buck (New Braunfels, TX) The pictures are amazing in National Geographic. I get to go visit places this way that I will never make it to in person. The stories are a great insight into life in other parts of this big world, both human and animal. I've been a fan of this magazine for many years.
What a great gift March 23, 2010 C. A. Sileo My good friend gave me a subscription to NG as a gift--and what a wonderful idea it was! Of course I've been long familiar with it, and always picked it up in a doctor's lobby or in a train station waiting room, but having my own issues to pore over as long as I want is a real treat. Also, I frequently donate items I'm not using to Goodwill, Vietnam Veterans, and other organizations, and old issues of NG are the only old magazines these charities will take. They can still sell them, no matter the age. That's quite a testament to National Geo. The magazine is beautiful, enlightening, and wide-ranging in its topics and the photographs retain their world-class reputation. An outstanding gift idea.

I made a gift subscription for this magazine, National Geographic in December 2009. And am still wondering if the first copy has been delivered to the address.
I can give a proper review only when i get a confirmation that the magazine has already been posted to the address!!!!
