Great magazine for dudes March 16, 2010 Smokey E Always has cool stories, not tooo much fashion but enough, and always some good cooking. Have found some awesome steak recipes in here. Better magazine for dudes overall, not as much fashion focused as magazines like esquire.
Not recommended February 24, 2010 Justin Yu Ping Tan (New York) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Over 50% of the book is filled with ads. I don't like how they feature guys in the covers. I wish they had more female models in the book. The closest thing to a female model are the advertisements. If you see something (clothes) you like they are very high-end. Overall, more ads than content is negative. I would stick with Maxim.
pretty decent info February 17, 2010 K. Cunningham (Freehold, NJ USA) GQ has always been a favorite. Have to admit that the magazine has shrunk in half but thats ok. Only problem I have is having to thumb through the articles on 3/4 naked women. Not really interested but I'm sure GQ wants to appear like its core audience looks at pics of naked and half naked women...sure and there are a few bridges up for sale. The satorial content though cannot be beat for a mainstream mag.
good deal, i like it very much February 11, 2010 Andrew Runkle (Glendale, AZ) Lots of style and health tips and the letter on the last page is always hilarious
Offers great fashion, style advice January 26, 2010 X. Liu (New England) GQ is excellent in offering fashion and styles advice that is easily understood and tangible. The advice is reinforced with photos to clearer understanding.
Pros
- Fashion, and Style advice
- Occasionally offers great feature articles
- Magazine comes shrinkwrapped so its not damaged by the post office
Cons
- Small font size
- Splits feature articles, I need to skip to the back to finish reading articles
- Full of ads
