| Customer Reviews:
Good way to donate to the cause November 15, 2009 K. Lohr (America's County, PA) So the savings may not be a great as advertised, but I will have enough coupons to use to match the cost of the book. This is a great organization, so I'm not upset about my purchase. I just wish the corporations sponsoring the book would have been a little more generous with the amount of coupons included and their values.
Two reasons NOT to buy this! November 10, 2009 Andrea Jerome (Northeast PA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I purchased this book for the coupons advertised - if that's your motivation, save your money and buy a Sunday paper. There are very few coupons and they are not even "good" coupons. They are low value and/or multiple purchase coupons. Most of the $500 savings is found in 10% off online purchase coupon codes that are available to anyone. Another benefit to buying the book was supposed to be a donation to the Susan G Komen Foundation. If you read the foreward of the book, it says that the publisher will donate $65,000 to the cause, but mentions nothing about a donation specifically related to the sale of the book. You can preview the companies offering coupons in the index of the book, so check it out before you buy! It's sad to have such a worthy cause associated with such a terrible product!
The bottom line - I returned it!
False Advertising October 18, 2009 G. thompson (ashland, OR United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The book doesn't come close to what is represented on the cover. $500 in savings? 100's of coupons? Where? I haven't counted, but I doubt there's even a hundred coupons. There's maybe 80 different products listed. The total savings in coupons is less then $100. I'm guessing they pulled the $500 figure by adding in the online coupon codes they give. The cover mentions nothing about online codes, you can get these free on any coupon code site. I'm trying to tell myself that it wasn't a complete waste of money b/c it does help a good cause.
Well worth the money October 15, 2009 S. Bowen (Minneapolis, MN) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received my coupon book in the mail today and after looking through the coupons, I will easily make up the money that I spent to buy it! From coupons for diapers to coffee to Advil, there are coupons for everyone! And, the recipes are very helpful. I am always up for new dinner ideas!
